About Sunshine Conference
Sunshine Conference is a senior representative basketball competition designed to support a sustainable development pathway for players, coaches, referees and scorebench officials across the Far North Coast/North Coast region.
Participating associations across the region include Ballina and other North Coast basketball associations — meaning you’ll face a great variety of opponents, venues and game-day environments.
How do I get involved?
Email us with your name, age, playing background, preferred position and whether you're interested in Men’s or Women’s.
Trials and team selections vary by season. We’ll confirm dates, expectations and selection format once announced.
Squads train at Southern Cross School and compete on scheduled Sunshine Conference game days across the region.
Costs & membership
Costs typically include:
- Annual membership (insurance and governing body components)
- Representative participation costs (competition entry, administration, and game-day requirements)
- Uniform items if applicable (some items may be loaned or purchased depending on season)
Game days & home games
Sunshine Conference fixtures and venues vary by round. When Ballina hosts, games are played at the BISC and we’d love our community to come down and support the Breakers.
