Sporting Schools is an Australian Government initiative that helps schools increase children’s participation in sport. The best part? Programs are free for children and families.

What is Sporting Schools?

Sporting Schools helps kids build confidence, learn new skills and enjoy being active — and it also connects schools with community sports like basketball.

What do kids do in our sessions?

Sessions are fun, inclusive and designed for all ability levels. We focus on the basics and keep things upbeat and positive.

Basketball basics

Dribbling, passing, shooting, footwork and simple game play.

Confidence & teamwork

Activities that build confidence, cooperation and a love of sport.

Pathways

Interested kids can be guided into Aussie Hoops or junior competitions when they’re ready.
